Who is it for?
The Dementia Care course is for Residential or Domiciliary care workers who care for vulnerable people.
Dementia Care Course Content:
- Aetiology and diagnosis
- Person centred approaches to care and the Mental Capacity Act
- Activities of daily living and care planning
According to the international classification of diseases Dementia is a syndrome caused by disease of the Brain, usually of chronic or progressive nature in which there is a degeneration of Brain function including memory, thinking, orientation, comprehension, calculation, language and judgement.
