Who is it for?
Residential or Domiciliary care workers undertaking the Skills for Care Common Induction Standards or NVQ mandatory units in Health and Safety and in line with CSCI recommendations for mandatory training, attendees should repeat this course on an annual basis.

This course provides participants with a greater awareness and understanding of the threat posed by Fire, and is designed to increase confidence in the action to be taken in the case of a Fire occurring. The aim is for Participants to have greater understanding of the causes of Fire, how to reduce the Fire risks and the actions to take in the event of Fire. The course participants will learn to distinguish between the different types of Fire extinguishers.
