Who is it for?
This course is suitable Residential or Domiciliary care workers requiring level 1 or level 2 Medicine Awareness training, as outlined in the CSCI guidance to inspectors. It will also benefit Care Workers undertaking training in the Skills for Care Knowledge set on Medication or care workers undertaking NVQ Unit HSC375.

This newly revised course provides the underpinning knowledge required for Residential and Domiciliary care workers to:
(1) Support service users who are self-medicating
(2) Administer medication within their care setting (referred too as level 1 and level 2 training in the CSCI Guidance to Inspectors)
The course is based on the Skills for Care knowledge set on Medication, and Care Workers who are undertaking their NVQ will benefit from this course as it is mapped to units HSC221, HSC236 and HSC375.
